How many anchors should a self-sufficient cruising boat carry?
Thanks to all reader s who took the time to fill out last week’s survey on wind vane self-steering devices. Of those who took the survey, 34% have a wind vane while 66% do not. Of those with wind vanes, 89% say they would recommend adding one to a cruising friend. Among those who do not have a wind vane, 42% say they would consider adding one when planning to sail offshore and 58% say they would not.
