Where on a wood boat would you find a sister?

Send your answers to cruisingcompass@bwsailing.com. A winner will be drawn from the correct answers and will win a subscription to the digital version of Blue Water Sailing.

Congrats to all readers who correctly answered last week’s question. The winner this week is Terri Schwenk, Clearwater, FL, who emailed: “A fid is a old-fashion, pointed  tool used to separate the strands of a laid line for splicing. They usually are made of wood but in the old days a fid could have been made from whale bone.”
