(wbaltv.com) – Donald Lawson, aboard his 60-foot trimaran, Defiant was bound from Mexico to the Panama Canal. The last communication his wife had with him was on July 13 when he was about 280 miles southeast of Acapulco. At that time, he indicated he was experiencing electrical problems. She notified the Coast Guard after not hearing from him and they put out a safety casting message but have not heard back. Lawson was planning a world record sailing attemp this fall. Read more.
