When sailing or chartering outside the US, do you carry insurance for repatriation in an emergency?
Thanks to everyone who too the time to fill out last week’s survey on captain’s licenses. Of those who answered, 38% have a Coast Guard authorized license. Of those 52% have a Master 100-ton, 23% have a 50-ton, 22% have six-pack and 3% have a 25-ton. The most popular courses to prepare for the exam are: Seas School, Mariner’s Learning Center and ASA 101-to-six pack. Of those who do not have a license, 38% say they are considering getting one.
