How do you keep the water in your on board tanks fresh and sweet?
Many thanks to all readers who took the time last week to fill out our survey on boat insurance for sailing offshore. Of those who replied, 43% have sought offshore insurance recently and of those 84% were successful in getting a policy. The most important factors in getting a policy are, in order: The area to be cruised, the skipper’s experience, the season when the passages would be made, the specific passage to be covered, the owner’s time and experience in the boat to be insured, the experience of other crew members and the skipper’s professional training.
