Do you have a water maker on your boat?
Many thanks to all readers who took the time to fill out last week’s survey on spare parts for your boat’s engine. Not suprisingly, 97% of respondents carry spare parts. Fuel filters 99%, Raw water impeller 95%, coolant 90%, crankcase oil 90%, transmission fluid 72%, engine zincs 42%, spare raw water pump 33%, spare alternator 30%, spare prop 19%, spare fuel pump 18%, spare starter motor 18%, spare injectors 12% and a spare heat exchanger 6%. Readers pointed out that we left belts, gasket and seal sets and hoses and clamps off the list and many do have these aboard.
