Have you calculated your engine’s fuel consumption at different RPMs?
Many thanks to everyone who took the time to reply to last week’s survey on the amount of time we spend aboard out boats. The answers fall into three distinct groups. 29% of readers are on their boat 40 or more weeks a year and are essentially living aboard. 36% are n their boats more than 12 weeks a year but are not living aboard full time. And, 35% are aboard their boats between 4 and 12 weeks for what many said was their “annual summer cruise.”
Asked to estimate how many miles you will sail this year, the answers split into similiar groups. 25% said more than 1,000 miles with many indicating much more than that. 47% said they would cruise between 500 and 1,000 miles and 28% said less than 500 miles.
