Why does Greenland on most maps look much bigger than it really is?

The Sargasso Sea. Nowadays Sargasso grass is everywhere on the tropical Atlantic. We met it on the east coast of Sal, Cabo Verde and saw it every day during our Atlantic crossing in January this year. We are in Panama now and a great amount of this weed is also here. When motored from San Blas archipelago we had to go backwards several times to free our propeller from Sargassum. It is a real problem now.
