If you are in the northwest venture down to the Center for Wooden Boats in South Lake Union, Seattle. The CWB offers a variety of hands-on maritime experiences using a fleet of historic wooden boats. Their livery (fleet of boats for rent) operates year-round renting sail and rowboats to the public. They also offer classes in sailing and other boating skills for adults and youth as well as one-on-one sailing lessons.
