Pete Dubler relays an important update for cruisers on the southwest side of Cuba.
The harbor master at Maria La Gorda has declared the mooring balls there unsafe and has closed the harbor to cruising boats until further notice. This is an unfortunate situation as it removes a nice rest stop between Cabo San Antonio and Isla de la Juventud…and of course it is the only Wi-Fi for 130 nm. Cruisers should plan accordingly to avoid arriving and being turned away.
