Sailing the Coast of Main on a Windjammer Cruise

By George Day · On March 13, 2018

Maine has a coastline that runs in very jagged lines for over a thousand linear miles and along this rugged, rock, pine top coast there are hundreds of island and coves and harbors to view and visit.  It is also homes to famous costal towns like Booth Bay, Rockland, Camden, Castine and Northeast Harbor where in summer you will find an eclectic mix of locals, summer folk and the throngs of tourists who come for the lobster and the unique Maine ambience.

But to see the coast of Maine in  all its raw authenticity, you should do it by boat. If you can’t get there in your own boat, then a windjammer cruise is an excellent second choice. Author Everett Potter experienced a windjammer cruise and told all about in an article for Forbes magazine. Read more.
