Log Canoe Capsize, One Missing

Sixteen people were rescued and one was missing from a 32-foot log canoe as reported by myeasternshoremd.

 

Maryland Natural Resources Police are leading a grid search for a missing boater in the Corsica River after a log canoe capsized Friday night, July 13, near Spaniard Point, according to NRP spokesperson Candy Thomson.

The 32-ft. log canoe was under sail when it rolled over with 17 people on board about 7:50 p.m., Thomson said. Sixteen people were recovered without injury. One woman is missing.
