(nola.com) – A Carnival cruise ship headed back to New Orleans, LA from the Caribbean made a brief stop off the Louisiana coast to help out a stranded sailboat.
Carnival Triumph, which home ports in New Orleans, was sailing Wednesday (Dec. 12) off the coast of Louisiana, about 80 miles from the Southwest Pass, when it received a request from a nearby sailboat that was in need of oil, according to a news release.
