Helping a Blind Sailor to Sail Independently

Four MIT students in the Principles and Practices of Assistive Technology program have designed an audio device to help Pauline Dowell sail more independently. Legally blind, Pauline wanted to be able to read the wind using telltales and needed the information to be relayed audibly, not visually.
