Learning About Hurricanes from Blue Holes

(Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute) – WHOI scientists run forensics on blue hole sediments to reconstruct hurricane activitiy. They study past patterns of hurricane activity in order to predict future hurricanes in the area. They are currently working at a blue hole in the Caicos to learn more about the characteristics of Hurricane Irma which passed through the area in 2017. Read More
