(AP News) – The coronavirus has managed to affect areas far and wide. Even people living on isolated islands are being infected and those islands in particular may not be able to defend themselves against the virus as there is a shortage of hospital beds. The Galapagos Islands, Ecuador are 600 miles from the mainland and rely on tourism. With the island currently closed to visitors, many of the 30,000 residents are jobless and officials estimate the islands have already lost a quarter of their annual income. Read More
