Congratulations to Jenni Taylor-Reese of Cowes, England who offered this explanation for blue smoke in a marine diesel engine’s exhaust. “When you get blue smoke in the exhaust it means the engine is burning crankcase oil and that could be caused by worn piston rings, wrongly adjust valves or very cold weather.”
