(Stars & Stripes) – Tyler Savage, 19, and his girlfriend Bella Siegrist, also 19 have sailed a 29-foot sailboat across the Pacific from San Diego to Honolulu, taking 21 days. They initally met in Germany while attending high school, landing in California when Savage’s father was stationed in San Diego. The two were planning on attending college in Oregon but the pandemic changed their plans, giving them a year to plan and complete their trip and switching to the University of Hawaii. Read More
