Congratulations to Lionel Schmidt, Bradenton, FL, who correctly answered last week’s Mindbender. “The Nautical Almanac. It was first published in England in 1767 and a U.S. version was first published in 1857. The Almanac contains the information celestial navigators need to determine the position on earth hourly of the sun, mood, planets and first point of Aires, which in turn provides a reference for the positions of 57 select navigational stars.”
