(BBC News) – Sir Ernest Shackleton’s Endurance sank more than 100 years ago in the Antarctic. There had been attempts to get to the ship, over 3,000 meters down but the sea ice made this extremely difficult as the floes are constantly moving.
This past weekend the ship was found at the bottom of the Weddell Sea and the first video of the ship seen since 1915 has been posted.There are no plans to pull up any artifacts as the ship has been designated a monument under the international Antarctic Treaty. Read More
