Bow Thrusters on Sailboats

Have you ever watched a sailboat come easily into a slip space with just a touch of a button? Bow thrusters used to be on larger powerboats and sailing yachts but over the years that has expanded to sailboats of all sizes. A bow thruster, located in the bow of the boat provides lateral thrust, which enables increased maneuverability.
