Sailboat Washes Ashore in Nags Head, NC

(thecoastlandtimes.com) – The True Love, a 33-foot sailboat washed ashore on a beach in Nags Head, NC last Thursday morning. May 1 the Coast Guard received a call that the sailboat had lost use of its sails off Cape Hatteras. The Coast Guard took the boat under tow that day but weather conditions proved to be too rough and the boat was anhored about 8 miles offshore. Since then the owner, a French national has been unresponsive in coming to claim his boat. Now that the boat has washed ashore officials will continue to try contacting the owner. Read more.
