Recreation of Darwin’s Voyage of Discovery

There are a number of tall ships that are recreations of ships of a bygone era and now a group of researchers and adventurers are about to embark on a redo of Charles Darwin’s voyage that led to the development of the theory of evolution.

The Oosterschelde, a three-masted schooner, will take the crew on a 40,000 mile voyage following Darwin’s route. This ship will be stopping at 32 ports across four continents, inviting young environmentalists aboard for conservatioin missions at the stopovers. Read more in the maritime-executive.com.
