When sailing in light wind, what get’s called a cat’s paw (and it’s not a knot)?

Send your answers to george@bwsailing.com. A winner will be selected randomly from the correct answers.

Many thanks to everyone who sent in answers to last wek’s question.  The winner this week is, Marek Zwierz, who emailed:  “it is little bit late, but we are on cruising tour and don’t have a permanent access to the Internet. Not yet. A fathom is an lenght unit of 6 feet, so five fathoms will be 30 feet. This unit varies in the time, so depend on time, or better, century, and purpose, means navy, merchant vesseld or fisher, and takes the length from 5 to 7 feet, but this is a theme for an another story.”
