Right of way: Two boats are converging on a collision course. Boat A has Boat B on its starboard side while boat B has Boat A on its port side. Which boat has the right of way?

Send your answers to george@bwsailing.com. A winner will be selected randomly from the correct answers.

Many thanks to everyone who sent in answers to last week’s question on wind shadows. The winner this week is regular contributor Bob Pickett who emailed: “A wind shadow is a zone of reduced or absent wind caused by an obstacle blocking or disrupting the airflow. It occurs on both the upwind and downwind sides of objects such as hills, mountains, cliffs, trees, buildings, watercraft, and even waves.”
