Have you ever careened your boat or dried it out in a grid to work on the bottom?
Many thanks to everyone who took the time to reply to our last survey on emergency tillers. Of those who replied 93% do have an emergency tiller and of those 53% say they have used it. Of those who have used their tillers, 64% did so to see how it works, 21% used it to get to port and 15% used it while they repaired the main steering system. In use, 55% said the tiller steers the boat well while 40% said it was difficult to use and needs a longer tiller arm and 5% said it didn’t the steer boat at all.
