Fire Onboard

Catamaran Guru discusses fire onboard boats and suggests putting in place practices to help prevent fires. Choose smoke detectors for your boat along with fire extinguishers and if you are a liveaboard, consider taking the five-day Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping (STCW) Certification course. Know your boat and inspect it while being aware of what can cause fires aboard. Read more.
